A quick reminder about a couple of upcoming December events:
ONA Tree Pruning Workshop Saturday, December 6, 9am West Lotus Cul-de-sac

Fran Burns has extended this invite to all of our neighbors:
Our ONA Beautification Committee members have been interested in learning about how to properly prune trees and thought it would be beneficial to kill two birds with one stone (so to speak). We have some trees on our common medians that definitely need pruning and have approached Melinda Adams, Fort Worth City Forester, for assistance. She has agreed to meet us for a "How to" session. Join us for our Thanksgiving social tomorrow night at Mamma Mia!
Take a look at the restaurant website to preview the menu: http://www.mammamiabelknap.com/. By Phyllis Anglin; originally published in the November 2014 edition of the Oak Leaflet.
We have wiped down the tablecloths and laundered all the aprons and put everything away for another year. But this one will be hard to beat! Because of a planned trip, I wasn’t able to help with calling our neighbors to remind them about the Dinner. But Yve Martin and Lynn Sonsel (who made a new list on Excel) and Deb Brown (who called the new neighbors) stepped up and took on the monumental calling job. Check out this month's issue of The Oak Leaflet online! This issue includes a great recap of our Police & Firefighter Appreciation Dinner, stats and info on our ONA website, our Yard of the Month, Kathryn's President's Column, and more.
ONA Residents:
Please note that our regularly-scheduled meeting has been postponed one week from tomorrow (Thursday, 11/13) to next Thursday, November 20, from 6:30-8pm at Mamma Mia's restaurant. This will be our Thanksgiving social, so everyone is welcome to come at 6:30 for dinner instead of bringing a dish! The City is making collection of tree and yard debris a priority after damage caused by an Oct. 2 storm. For the next three weeks, the city will not charge extra to collect large piles of tree limbs felled during the storm. Limbs should be cut to no more than eight feet long and four inches in diameter and placed at the curb for pickup on residents' normal collection days and/or bulk collection week
