Cook Children's Hospital has a new mural featuring houses from Marigold Ave in Oakhurst! The mural is located in the hallway leading to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), and its purpose is to display images of joy and playfulness as the child patients are being wheeled into surgery. Check out the photos below!

Oakhurst neighbors, check out this month's issue of The Oak Leaflet online! Inside are details on Glenda Hartsell-Shelton's nomination for the 2017 "Neighbor of the Year" award, as well as info on ONA's upcoming tribute to Phyllis and Fred Anglin for all of their contributions to the neighborhood over the years. Of course, you'll also find Elizabeth's President's Column, a calendar of upcoming events, Fred's (final?) COPS report, a recap of ONA's holiday decorating contest (see all the pics here), and more!
A message from ONA president Elizabeth Neumann:
Can you believe we are about to start a new year, 2018? As a kid, I always felt time stood still, yet as an adult I feel it is rushing by me and I cannot seem to catch up J This past year, ONA had several fun events, focusing on the young ones and a few for the older folks. The year ended with a wonderful Santa in Park event followed by the delightful ONA Christmas Party. I am impressed by the quality of the ONA events and how everyone seems to have a good time. A big thank you to all who have support these ONA events with their time and/or donation! |
